Abstract

In this research, a multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to identify the parameters of a model using data from individuals who passed away due to COVID-19. The data was collected from various hospitals in Salah al-Din Governorate, including Tikrit Hospital, Baiji Hospital, Shirqat General Hospital, and Samarra Hospital, between April 1st, 2020, and December 30th, 2020. The primary aim of the study was to investigate the primary factors that contribute to the rise in deaths caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, using the multiple linear regression analysis method. The findings indicated that independent variables such as age, place of death, and the deceased person’s chronic diseases were the most significant factors in the increase of COVID-19-related deaths, while other variables examined did not have a clear impact.
